I was all he wanted but I couldn't give him --the whole of me.
To the one I broke, do carry on with your next chapter in life.
I want you to look into her eyes and say, "I love you." Say it while you mean it. Give her good morning wishes to remind her that she's the first thing that came to your mind when you wake up in the morning. Hug her tightly just so she knows that she's safe under your arms. Plan a surprise visit if you were to part ways from one state to another to assure her that there's not a day that you don't miss her. Take her for a midnight stroll to watch the stars and tell her that her beauty burns brighter than all of the stars she's gazing at. Share your deepest darkest secret with her to let her know that you're not afraid of letting her know your true colours. Make her smile. Make her laugh. Make the world revolves around her all that you could because when she's happy, you're happy. Let her know that.
She may not know that you once did all of these things to me but nevertheless, she deserves them a lot more than I do. Please do not let her know about me, simply just cherish these lovely things you did that I once appreciate until I've decided not to love you anymore.
Listen. You are on the right chapter. Do not intend to read the previous one yet again even though it seems like an exciting tale and at times, it bothers you so much. Just remember it is too, filled with misery that swallow you whole and crushed your heart into pieces. So, leave while you can and let it be. Our chapter has ended, read and done. There's nothing you could do. You do not want to re-read it again because then, you would missed out a new adventure lies ahead, with her as the heroine to reach the end of your story.
But in years to come, if you have a thought of getting back to our chapter just to tell your children about your first love of how it broke you for good and made you love for someone better who is their mother, tell them. Tell them about me. Tell them everything. Tell them that there was a girl whom you once love with all your heart but in the end, you were fated to be with someone else as you came to realize that she's just a passing chapter in your life. Tell them what you've learnt so that they would be ready to love. Tell them that first love taught you to understand that love requires the act of give and take, equally from both sides and how unfortunate that I couldn't give you that.
